The short version
As of November 2026, IFTTT costs $2.09/month billed annually for 5,000 credits with every feature unlocked — the simplest automator in this job, priced like a consumer app.
Buy it if
Your automations are simple trigger-to-action jobs across many everyday services and you want them running today, maintained without thinking about them.
Skip it if
Your workflows branch, loop or handle errors, or you need near-real-time triggers — Make or n8n fit that shape better.
What IFTTT does — the jobs it finishes
Workflows are built only from verified capabilities in our listing research — no vendor copy, nothing invented.
New sale, logged and announced
Starts A new order or form submission lands
- The Applet logs the record to a Google Sheet
- A notification and a Slack or email message go out in the same run
You get A filed sale with the announcement already sent
The copy-paste between checkout, sheet and inbox disappears
Publish once, post everywhere
Starts You publish a post, video or listing
- The Applet fans the link out to your other channels
- An AI step rewrites the caption for each channel's format
You get One publish becomes a multi-channel post set
Approval Skim AI-rewritten captions before they post in your name
Content distribution stops being a manual checklist
Payment and lead alerts to your phone
Starts A payment, booking or high-value lead event fires
- A query pulls extra context from the connected service
- A filter decides whether the event clears your threshold
- Your phone gets one notification that matters
You get Alerts you act on, not noise
You hear about money and leads within one polling interval
Where it stops
- No branching routers, loops or visual canvas — logic stays trigger, query/filter, actions
- No self-hosting and no team workspace model — it is a personal-account tool
- Polling-based triggers are minutes-to-an-hour apart, not real-time
Getting started
Before you start
- Accounts in the services you want to connect
- A free account is enough for the first Applets
The ongoing admin
- Watch the shared credit pool — runs pause at zero until reset or top-up
- Prune Applets you no longer read the output of
Step 1Pick or describe the Applet
Start from a published Applet, build trigger-plus-actions in the composer, or describe the job and let the AI generator draft it.
Step 2Add a query or filter only if needed
Queries pull extra context and Filter Code adds conditions; most solo Applets need neither on day one.
Step 3Watch the credit meter for a week
Applet runs, MCP usage and AI features share one pool — size Starter versus Pro from a real week, not a guess.

Add-onExtra credits — Top-up route described on the plans/help pages; Applets pause at zero credits until reset or top-up. No overage billing by default — runs pause rather than bill
What could make the bill jump?
Credits are spent when Applets run (runs, MCP usage and AI features share the pool); a chatty Applet can drain a small allowance, after which Applets pause until the monthly reset.

Our assessment of IFTTT
As of November 2026, IFTTT starts at $2.09/month billed annually (Starter) after a Free plan that is no longer a taster: since the 28 October 2026 relaunch every plan carries unlimited Applets, multi-action flows, Queries, Filter Code, Webhooks and AI features across 1,000-plus services, and plans differ only in monthly credits, polling speed and support. For a solo founder that makes IFTTT the low-friction option for the long tail of small jobs — post new content everywhere at once, log orders or form submissions to a sheet, get a phone notification when a payment lands, back up photos or files, and let an AI step summarise or translate inside the Applet. The composer is deliberately simple: pick a trigger, add actions, optionally refine with a query or a JavaScript filter. What IFTTT does not try to be is a branching workflow engine — there are no routers, loops or error-handler branches of the Make or n8n kind, and polling intervals (hourly on Free, 15 minutes on Starter, 5 minutes on paid tiers) mean it is not the tool for second-by-second operations. The trade is clarity: one credit pool, prices a founder can read in ten seconds, and automations a non-technical owner can maintain without a manual.
Pros — our take
- Cheapest credible entry in the category — $2.09/month billed annually for 5,000 credits
- Every feature on every plan since October 2026; no feature-gating surprises
- Genuinely maintainable by a non-technical founder
Cons — our take
- No branching or looping — complex operations outgrow it quickly
- Polling speeds (hourly on Free) are too slow for time-sensitive work
- Single-account design; multiple accounts per service only on Pro+

Solo Fit input · pricing clarityUsage-based but predictable
Solo Fit stays the public score: the qualitative roll-up of these four published inputs under the How We Rank method. A 5/5 no-code score and the lowest entry price in the job carry it; shallow logic is the control trade.
Three to compare before you decide
The difference: Zapier is the business-depth step up — 9,000-plus apps and multi-step Zaps — but its paid ladder starts at $19.99/month billed annually against IFTTT's $2.09.
The difference: Make's canvas adds routers, iterators and error handling IFTTT lacks — at the cost of a real learning curve.
The difference: Integrately is the closest Zapier-style rival for pre-built one-click automations; IFTTT wins on price and its consumer/smart-home catalogue.
Questions buyers ask about IFTTT
What does IFTTT cost for one person as of November 2026?
Free covers 1,000 credits a month with unlimited Applets and all features. Starter is $2.99/month billed monthly or $2.09/month billed annually for 5,000 credits; Pro is $7.99 or $5.49 for 20,000 credits; Pro+ is $19.99 or $13.99 for 100,000 credits. Prices read on ifttt.com/plans on 2026-11-06 in both toggle states.
What changed in IFTTT's October 2026 pricing?
On 28 October 2026 IFTTT replaced Applet-count limits with credits: every plan now has unlimited Applets, all core features and all services, and plans differ only in credits, polling speed, support and accounts per service. Older reviews citing a 2-Applet free plan describe retired pricing.
How fast do IFTTT Applets react?
Polling speed is set by plan: every hour on Free, every 15 minutes on Starter, and every 5 minutes on Pro and Pro+. Webhook-triggered Applets react on the event rather than the polling clock.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Applets pause until the monthly reset or until you add credits — nothing is deleted. Applet runs, MCP usage and AI features all draw on the same monthly allowance.
