The short version
RocketReach sells self-serve access to a 700M-profile contact database, priced per seat, with emails from $33/month billed annually and phone numbers from $75 — metered by lookups on monthly billing and by exports on annual billing.
Buy it if
You prospect named people at named companies, you want emails and direct dials from one database without a sales contract, and your monthly volume fits inside 250 lookups or 3,600 exports a year.
Skip it if
You mainly need a sending platform — RocketReach has no warm-up or deliverability layer — or your workflow exports everything, in which case the annual export caps (1,200 on Essentials) will bind quickly.
What RocketReach does — the jobs it finishes
Workflows are built only from verified capabilities in our listing research — no vendor copy, nothing invented.
A named list of decision-makers, with dials
Starts You have target companies and job titles but no contact details
- You filter the database by role, company, industry and location
- You reveal emails and — on Pro or above — phone numbers, charged only when verified data comes back
- You export the list to your CRM or sender, spending an export per contact on annual plans
You get A contact list with verified emails and direct numbers
Approval Spot-check a sample of revealed contacts before a campaign rides on the full list
The manual LinkedIn-and-guesswork hunt for contact details disappears
Prospecting while you browse
Starts You land on a person's profile or a company page during ordinary research
- The Chrome extension surfaces the contact and company information in real time
- You reveal the details you need without leaving the page
You get Contacts captured in the flow of research, not in a separate prospecting session
Useful people you stumble on stop being lost
A bought or built list, enriched
Starts You upload a CSV of names and companies that lacks emails or phones
- Enrich CSV fills the contact fields and verification checks what you already hold
- You sync the completed records to Salesforce or HubSpot
You get A complete, verified list ready for outreach
A partial list becomes usable without manual lookups one by one
Simple follow-ups without leaving the database
Starts A small campaign to contacts you just found does not justify a separate sender
- Messages and Sequences send from RocketReach with automated follow-ups, up to the 500-emails-a-day limit
- Autopilot workflows discover and engage prospects on the rules you set
You get A basic sequence running where the data lives
Approval Review Autopilot rules before they send unattended — there is no warm-up layer protecting your domain
First outreach needs no export-import round trip
Where it stops
- Essentials includes no phone numbers — calling-led outreach starts at Pro
- No domain warm-up, inbox rotation or deliverability tooling — sending infrastructure stays your problem
- Annual plans cap the exports that move data out (1,200 / 3,600 / 20,000 a year), however unlimited the lookups sound
- Not a full outreach platform — reply handling and serious sequencing belong in a dedicated sender
Getting started
Before you start
- A free account is enough to test data quality with 5 lookups before paying
The ongoing admin
- Watch the export balance on annual plans — it, not lookups, is the allowance that runs out
- Re-verify contacts before big sends; data decays even in a large database
Step 1Test on your hardest niche first
Spend the 5 free lookups on the exact roles and companies you actually sell to — database coverage varies sharply by segment, and the free sample tells you more than any coverage claim.
Step 2Decide email-only or email-plus-phone before choosing a tier
Essentials ($33/month billed annually) is email only. If calling is part of your motion, budget Pro at $75 from day one.
Step 3Pick the billing toggle by your export habit
Monthly billing meters lookups; annual billing meters exports. If everything leaves via CSV or CRM sync, count your exports, not your lookups, before choosing annual.

Pro (email + phone) $75/month billed annually ($899/year) or $119/month billed monthly — 250 lookups/month, or 3,600 exports/year on annual. Ultimate $142/month billed annually ($1,699/year) or $209/month billed monthly — 1,000 lookups/month, or 20,000 exports/year on annual. Custom Team plans start at $6,000/year. The scaling rule: monthly plans meter lookups, annual plans meter exports.

What could make the bill jump?
The trap is the meter switch, not the headline price: monthly billing meters lookups (100 / 250 / 1,000 a month) while annual billing advertises unlimited lookups but meters exports instead (1,200 / 3,600 / 20,000 a year). A founder who prospects inside RocketReach but exports everything to a CRM can exhaust an annual Essentials plan's 1,200 exports in a few busy months and face Pro at $75/month — and anyone who needs phone numbers skips Essentials entirely, so the honest entry price for calling-led outreach is $75, not $33.

Price record · 2026-11-08: Checked 2026-11-08 on rocketreach.co/pricing: the annual-billing figures extracted directly as text this run — Essentials $33/month ($399 billed annually), Pro $75/month ($899 billed annually), Ultimate $142/month ($1,699 billed annually) — along with the plan comparison's lookup and export meters (monthly lookups 100 / 250 / 1,000; exports 100 / 1,200 per year, 250 / 3,600 per year, 1,000 / 20,000 per year across the three tiers), the email-only vs email-and-phone split, the 500-emails-per-day sending limit, and Custom Team plans starting at $6K annually. DISCLOSURE — corroborated reads: the page as extracted shows the annual toggle state; the monthly-billing figures ($69 / $119 / $209 per month) and the free account's 5 lookups do not extract as text from the rendered page this run and are recorded from multiple dated October 2026 reads of the same official pricing page (reads dated 2026-10-19, 2026-10-26 and 2026-10-31 all report the same $69 / $119 / $209 monthly figures and 5 free lookups). Note a variant honestly: reads from August to early October 2026 reported lower annual equivalents ($27 / $69 / $142) with the same monthly figures for Essentials and Pro in some reads — the vendor has raised the annual-billing prices since; the figures recorded here are the ones the official page itself shows today, 2026-11-08.

Our assessment of RocketReach
RocketReach is a contact-data lookup tool first and everything else second: you search a database the vendor puts at 700 million professionals and 60 million companies, filter by role, company, industry, location and some 50 other fields, and reveal verified work emails — and, on the plans that include them, direct phone numbers. The meter needs care, because RocketReach runs two of them. On monthly billing you buy lookups: 100 a month on Essentials, 250 on Pro and 1,000 on Ultimate, and a lookup that returns no verified email or phone is not charged. On annual billing lookups are advertised as unlimited, but the binding limit becomes exports — 1,200 a year on Essentials, 3,600 on Pro and 20,000 on Ultimate — and every CSV download, CRM sync, API call or AI-tool pull spends one. The plan split that matters most to a solo founder is data type: Essentials is email only, so anyone whose outreach involves calling must start at Pro. Around the database sit a Chrome extension for prospecting while you browse, CSV enrichment and verification, technographics and intent topics on the higher tiers, and a light built-in sending layer — Messages, Sequences and Autopilot workflows with a 500-emails-a-day limit — that can carry simple follow-ups to contacts you found in RocketReach itself. It is not a deliverability platform: there is no warm-up, no inbox rotation story and no reply management worth planning around, so most founders will still export into a dedicated sender. Judged purely as a phone-and-email source with a self-serve price, though, it is one of the few large databases a one-person business can buy without a sales contract — the custom team plan, from $6,000 a year, is the only tier that leaves self-serve behind.
Pros — our take
- Self-serve access to a very large database — no sales contract below the $6,000/year team plan
- A lookup that returns no verified email or phone is not charged
- Phones, technographics and intent data arrive on the same seat as the emails, from Pro up
Cons — our take
- Two different meters — lookups on monthly billing, exports on annual — make the real allowance easy to misread
- Essentials is email only, so the $33 headline does not buy the phone numbers many buyers came for
- No warm-up or deliverability layer; serious sending still needs a dedicated tool

Solo Fit stays the public score: the qualitative roll-up of these four published inputs under the How We Rank method. A five-minute self-serve start and a free 5-lookup account carry it; pricing clarity is docked because the binding meter changes with the billing toggle — lookups monthly, exports annually.
Three to compare before you decide
The difference: A combined database-and-sequencer workspace priced per seat with its own credit meter — the catch is phone reveals cost multiple credits, so its headline credit counts buy fewer dials than they suggest.
The difference: An email-only finder and verifier at a lower entry price with a simple credit pool — the catch is no phone numbers at all, where RocketReach sells dials from Pro.
Lushafrom $52 · Solo-Ready The difference: Credit-priced contact data with seats included per account rather than charged per user — the catch is phone reveals cost 5 credits each, so phone-heavy prospecting drains a small allowance fast.
Questions buyers ask about RocketReach
What does RocketReach cost for one person?
Essentials is $33/month billed annually ($399/year) or $69/month billed monthly, and it is email only. Pro — the first tier with phone numbers — is $75/month billed annually ($899/year) or $119/month billed monthly. Ultimate is $142/month billed annually or $209 monthly. The directory's True Solo Cost is $33 low (email only) and $75 typical (Pro, with phones).
What is the difference between a lookup and an export?
A lookup reveals a contact's details inside RocketReach; an export moves a contact out — a CSV download, a CRM sync, an API call or an MCP pull. Monthly plans meter lookups (100, 250 or 1,000 a month); annual plans advertise unlimited lookups but meter exports (1,200, 3,600 or 20,000 a year). Which meter binds you depends on the billing toggle you choose.
Does the cheapest plan include phone numbers?
No. Essentials is email only at every billing period. Phone numbers start on Pro at $75/month billed annually, which is why this listing records $75, not $33, as the typical solo cost.
Is there a free way to test RocketReach?
Yes — a free account includes 5 lookups with no card required. Use them on your hardest, most representative prospects: coverage in your exact niche is the fact you need before paying for a seat.
Can RocketReach send my cold email for me?
Partly. Paid plans include Messages, Sequences and Autopilot workflows with a 500-emails-a-day sending limit, aimed at contacts found in RocketReach. There is no warm-up or deliverability tooling, so founders sending seriously usually export to a dedicated cold-email platform instead — and exports are exactly what annual plans meter.
